This tutorial will show you how to combine two images to make a composite image. Using the following features of Photoshop, layers, layer masks, layer modes, crop, selection tools (magnetic lasso, magic wand), copy and paste, paste in place and transformations.

It also shows some tricks on transforming selections to achieve the magnified look through the glass.
How to quickly and precisely select areas by adjusting the settings of the selection tools.
Photoshop doesnt have a paste in place feature but this tutorial shows you how to do it.
