MiggyByte
Miggybyte was published by me (Ben Gaunt - AKA Madness) from ??? 1995 to August 1997, in all 12 issues were released. Miggybyte was a disk based magazine for the Amiga range of computers and owed its inspiration to the legend of disk based magazines “Grapevine” also released on the Amiga. Miggybyte was never a 'scene' publications and was never intended to be but rather a normal computer magazine just published and distributed via a digital media.

There were many rumours that the publication was to be resurrected many times. Although I never agreed to any of these so called resurrections I wasn’t against it. Most of the resurrections seemed to be a way for people to try and get their hands on the source code* for the publication (MMMC see below), also programmed by me and constantly developed over a three year period.

Multi-Media Magazine Creator – started life as a simple text viewing program for the game Maze Madness (also programmed by me for the Amiga computer) but was soon developed into a fully blown multimedia application. MMMC was capable of displaying text, images and playing music and or sound files. With a simple graphical user interface that supported many advanced features that are still lacking in similar applications today**.

To be able to use / view the downloads you will need to have an Amiga Emulator and I recommend KS2.x roms***.

* Sadly the source code is now MIA, magnetic floppy disks don’t like damp.
** Dependent on the version of MMMC.
*** Sadly due to copyright issues I can not supply you with a Kickstart ROM.
